Social Media for Social Good
Facebook? Twitter? YouTube? Foursquare? With so many channels, it can be hard to know where to start or if you're doing it well. Social media has fundamentally shifted the way we communicate, personally and professionally. Join the Foundation Center for an engaging event on the strategies and tactics that make social media an effective way to activate your community, and the results you can expect. Learn from industry leaders, cutting-edge social media consultants, and fellow nonprofit practitioners. A keynote address will be followed by an interactive panel discussion and networking hour – giving you a range of opportunities to get tips, learn the basics, and exchange ideas.
Points of discussion will include:
Speakers:
Renee Alexander – The Social Media Manager for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Renee has been working in social media strategically for almost 10 years. With a diverse background in the arts, radio, non-profits and restaurants, Renee has focused on one common theme: relationship building. Renee’s previous roles included working for a digital agency where she consulted Fortune 100 and 500 brands on using social media to not only increase sales, but to build lasting relationships with consumers. At UNICEF USA, Renee uses social media to foster deeper connections between the organization, its supporters, and its donors.
